WHAT IS A JOB SHADOW?
Job shadowing is a structured career exploration activity in which a student is paired with and observes the workday of a business partner. The experience is designed to help students explore a field of interest while developing research skills and building occupational knowledge. Job shadows are conducted at the workplace and occur over most of the workday.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE
If a student is interested in a job shadow, they can simply fill out the request form below. Once the form is submitted, the work-based learning coordinator will attempt to find a business partner willing to offer the shadow. Along with the required paperwork submitted before-hand, students will need transportation to and from the business site. If the shadow is completed during the school day, the student can fill out the proper paperwork and reflection to receive a school-related absence.
